Description
Jamo STUDIO7 S7-25F Floorstanding Speaker Pair (Fjord Blue)
The Jamo Studio7 S7-25F is a compact floorstander from the Danish brand’s Scandinavian-inspired Studio7 range, recognisable by the cabinet’s seven-degree backward tilt. That tilt is functional, not styling: it time-aligns the tweeter and woofers so their output reaches the listener in phase, sharpening imaging and focus. Twin 5.5-inch embossed paper cone woofers and a 1-inch fabric dome tweeter deliver a 69 Hz – 21 kHz response in a cabinet just 805 mm tall – a floorstander sized for apartments and smaller listening rooms.
The Fjord Blue finish takes its colour from Norwegian fjord water, part of a palette drawn from Scandinavian landscapes. Under the vinyl, rounded cabinet corners reduce edge diffraction so the soundstage stays clean and uncoloured.
Key Features
- 7-degree tilted, time-aligned cabinet for a coherent, focused soundstage
- Dual 5.5-inch embossed paper woofers with Thor’s Hammer cone detailing for rigid, fast bass
- 1-inch vented fabric dome tweeter with copper Faraday ring for lower distortion
- 90 dB sensitivity and 107 dB maximum output – easy to drive, happy to play loud
- Aluminium shorting rings in the woofer motors improve power handling and act as heat sinks
- Crossover sealed in its own chamber, away from driver magnet interference
Driver Engineering
The woofers’ embossed paper cones use Jamo’s Thor’s Hammer patterning to stiffen the diaphragm without adding mass, improving transient response so basslines stay snappy. Aluminium inductance shorting rings in the motor lower distortion and draw heat away from the voice coil. Up top, the fabric dome tweeter’s copper Faraday ring raises sensitivity and reduces non-linear distortion, giving detailed highs that stay smooth over long sessions. A 4-ohm nominal impedance with 90 dB sensitivity means most amplifiers and AV receivers in the 40-200 W range will drive the S7-25F comfortably.
Where It Fits
Use the S7-25F pair as the front channels of a Studio7 home cinema (matching S7-25HCS components share the same voicing) or as a two-channel stereo pair in compact rooms. Metal spikes and rubber feet are included for carpet and hard floors. Full technical data is in the specifications below.
