The DALI Phantom M-375 is a slim in-wall loudspeaker from DALI’s Phantom custom-install range, built for home cinema and media rooms where the speakers must disappear into the architecture. Despite a mounting depth of just 100 mm, it is a 2.5-way design with a 7-inch wood-fibre woofer, two 7-inch passive radiators and DALI’s hybrid tweeter module — a 28 mm soft dome paired with a 17 x 45 mm ribbon. It is sold as a single speaker for front, centre or surround positions.

Hybrid tweeter module

DALI’s signature hybrid tweeter combines a conventional soft dome, which handles the main treble band with low distortion, with a ribbon super-tweeter that extends and disperses the highest frequencies. In a cinema, that wide dispersion is the point: every seat in the row hears the same treble balance, rather than the sound collapsing to whichever seat is on-axis. Crossovers at 2,500 Hz and 15,000 Hz divide the work between woofer, dome and ribbon.

Bass from a shallow cabinet

A 100 mm-deep wall cavity cannot hold a large ported enclosure, so the M-375 uses two passive radiators driven by the 7-inch woofer to extend low-frequency output — reaching 57 Hz within 3 dB — without port noise or a deep cabinet. The woofer’s SMC (Soft Magnetic Compound) magnet system reduces distortion-inducing eddy currents, a technology DALI carries down from its high-end freestanding ranges.

Power and sensitivity

Sensitivity is 89 dB, nominal impedance 6 ohms and maximum output 107 dB; DALI recommends amplification between 30 and 180 watts. Those figures suit quality AV receivers as well as dedicated multichannel power amplifiers, and the M-375 can serve as left, centre and right across the front of a Phantom cinema with the grille painted to match the wall.

Installation dimensions

The baffle measures 775 x 250 x 106 mm; the wall cut-out is 751 x 226 mm with 100 mm of required depth, and the unit weighs 8.7 kg. Dog-leg clamps fix it from the front, so installation is a retrofit-friendly one-person job.

Phantom series context

The M-375 is the largest model in DALI’s Phantom M range of architectural speakers, designed for medium to large cinema rooms where a freestanding speaker’s output is wanted without the visual footprint. DALI specifies its low-loss surround and wood-fibre cone formula for the same clarity at low listening levels that its freestanding speakers are known for — useful in cinemas that double as evening television rooms at modest volumes.
