Gallo Acoustics Micro 5.1 Speaker Package (Black)

Gallo Acoustics Micro 5.1 Package – Five Spheres, One Subwoofer, No Boxes

The Gallo Micro 5.1 package is a complete home theatre speaker system in black: five Micro satellite speakers for the front, centre and surround channels, plus a powered Gallo subwoofer to supply the low frequencies the 4-inch spheres cannot reach. It is the system for rooms where loudspeakers must be heard and barely seen.

Each Micro is a seamless steel sphere containing a 3-inch full-range driver. With no cabinet panels to resonate and no crossover in the signal path, the Micros image precisely and speak with unusual clarity for their size – dialogue locks to the screen and effects move cleanly around the room. The subwoofer restores the weight of film soundtracks and music.

Why spheres sound different

A conventional speaker box has flat panels that flex and a baffle whose edges diffract sound, smearing imaging. The Micro’s spherical steel enclosure has neither problem: the shape is inherently stiff, internal standing waves are minimised, and sound leaves the driver without a baffle edge to scatter it. The trade is physical – a 4-inch sphere cannot move much air – which is precisely what the package subwoofer is for, crossed over to fill the region below the satellites.

Set-up and placement

The Micros mount on walls with Gallo’s brackets, sit on their isolation rings on shelves, or rise on optional floor stands, so the system adapts to the room rather than demanding furniture. Run speaker cable from any AV receiver, set the receiver’s crossover in the region Gallo recommends for satellite systems, and let the subwoofer handle everything below. The centre Micro can sit horizontally or vertically near the screen.

Who the Micro 5.1 suits

Choose the Micro 5.1 for living rooms, apartments and design-led spaces where a conventional speaker package would dominate. It delivers the surround experience – immersion, clarity, real bass – at a visual scale closer to lighting than furniture.

What you will need

The satellites are passive, so the package pairs with any AV receiver of sensible quality – 50 watts per channel and upward is comfortable given the Micros’ efficiency in small rooms. Add speaker cable and, for the cleanest result, Gallo’s wall brackets or stands for the positions your room dictates. Set the receiver’s speaker sizes to small with a crossover in the upper range recommended for satellite systems, and let the subwoofer carry everything below; the package then behaves as one full-range system.
