Sold as a pair, the RIFT-656 delivers a full-range 2-way audio performance from a completely concealed position inside the wall – providing all the sonic benefits of a quality bookshelf speaker system with absolutely zero visual footprint in the room.
In-wall speakers represent the ultimate expression of architectural audio: high-quality sound reproduced invisibly, seamlessly integrated into the structure of the room itself. The Pure Acoustics Rift range is engineered for professional installer use as well as discerning residential applications, combining robust build quality with the acoustic performance needed for serious hi-fi and home cinema installations.
2-Way Driver Configuration
The RIFT-656 uses a 2-way driver array – a dedicated tweeter for high frequencies and a 6.5-inch woofer for midrange and upper bass. This separation of frequency responsibilities allows each driver to operate optimally within its designed range, producing cleaner, more detailed sound than a single full-range driver could achieve. The tweeter is typically pivoting to allow precise aiming toward the primary listening position, improving stereo imaging and high-frequency clarity from off-axis installation positions.
Flush-Mount Installation
The RIFT-656’s slim profile and flush-mounting system allows it to sit completely level with the wall surface. A magnetic or clip-on grille covers the aperture, leaving only a flat, painted grille visible – or the grille can be painted to match the wall colour for a near-invisible finish. The backcan (if used) improves bass response and prevents sound leakage into adjacent rooms.
