Gallo Acoustics Strada 2 Speaker (Black)

Gallo Acoustics Strada 2 – The Spherical Specialist, Grown Up, in Black

The Strada 2 is Gallo Acoustics’ larger satellite loudspeaker, finished here in black. Where the Micro is a single full-range sphere, the Strada 2 stretches the concept into a cylindrical enclosure housing two 4-inch drivers alongside Gallo’s CDT3 tweeter, whose cylindrical dispersion radiates treble across a near-180-degree arc instead of a narrow beam.

The result is a compact speaker with the openness and image precision Gallo is known for, plus the output and bass reach to serve as a genuine stereo pair or as the front channels of a serious home theatre. Like all Gallo designs, the enclosure is metal, seamless and free of the parallel panels that colour ordinary box speakers.

Key features

• Compact satellite loudspeaker in black finish
• Two 4-inch carbon-fibre drivers
• CDT3 tweeter with wide cylindrical dispersion
• Seamless metal enclosure eliminates box resonance colouration
• Sensitivity of 90 dB for easy amplifier matching
• Wall, stand and shelf mounting with Gallo hardware
• Voice-matched to Micro and A’Diva speakers for theatre systems
• Sold as a single speaker

The CDT3 tweeter, explained

A conventional dome tweeter beams high frequencies forward, so treble balance changes as listeners move. Gallo’s Cylindrical Dispersion Transducer instead radiates around a wide arc, filling the room with even treble and producing a soundstage that stays coherent across seats. Combined with the enclosure’s lack of a flat baffle – the usual source of diffraction smear – the Strada 2 images with a precision that box speakers at this size rarely approach.

System building with Gallo

A pair of Strada 2 speakers with a Gallo subwoofer such as the Profile or TR series makes a discreet full-range stereo system for design-led rooms. In theatre duty, Strada 2 fronts with Micro or A’Diva surrounds keep one voice around the room while staying nearly invisible. Amplification demands are modest thanks to the 90 dB sensitivity; a good 50-watt amplifier is a comfortable partner.

Who the Strada 2 suits

Choose the Strada 2 when the room will not accept ordinary speakers but the ears will not accept ordinary sound: design-conscious living rooms, media walls and boutique commercial spaces. Buy it as the step up from the Micro when more scale and dynamics are needed from the same visual footprint.

Care and mounting notes

Gallo’s mounting ecosystem covers the Strada 2 thoroughly: wall brackets that disappear behind the cylinder, table stands for shelves and credenzas, and floor stands that turn a pair into elegant minimal columns. The metal enclosure wipes clean and shrugs off the knocks that dent wooden cabinets, which suits commercial spaces and family rooms alike. Keep the CDT3’s radiating surface unobstructed – its wide dispersion is the feature – and the speaker will fill the room as designed.
