is a THX Ultra2 certified in-wall LCR speaker, the top tier of the Klipsch THX Cinema series, built around a single 8-inch aluminium cone woofer and a 1-inch titanium dome compression driver on an 80 x 80 degree Tractrix horn. THX Ultra2 certification guarantees accurate multi-channel reproduction at reference cinema levels in rooms of 3,000 cubic feet or larger.
Klipsch THX-8000L In-Wall LCR Speaker uses a factory-sealed MDF back-can enclosure, so its performance does not depend on the size or construction of the wall cavity behind it, giving installers predictable, repeatable results in any room.
Why Choose Klipsch THX-8000L In-Wall LCR Speaker?
Klipsch THX-8000L In-Wall LCR Speaker is the choice when the theatre must play at true cinema reference level without compromise. The sealed enclosure keeps bass tight and controlled, the large aluminium woofer delivers punchy impact with low distortion, and the horn-loaded tweeter keeps dialogue intelligible even in the loudest passages. It mounts vertically or horizontally for left, centre or right duty and is fully timbre-matched to the rest of the THX family.
Key Features
The THX-8000L is a reference-grade architectural speaker for the largest home theatres.
THX Ultra2 certified: The highest THX tier for home theatre, for reference levels in rooms of 3,000 cubic feet or larger.
8-inch aluminium woofer: A large aluminium cone woofer delivers powerful, controlled bass impact.
Titanium compression driver on Tractrix horn: A 1-inch titanium driver on an 80 x 80 horn gives clear dialogue and detailed highs.
Sealed MDF back-can enclosure: A factory-sealed enclosure gives consistent performance regardless of wall construction.
Flexible LCR mounting: Mounts vertically or horizontally for left, centre or right channel use.
Best Suited For
Klipsch THX-8000L In-Wall LCR Speaker suits dedicated large theatres, screening rooms and premium media spaces where reference-level playback is the brief. It is the front-stage speaker to specify when the room is large, the screen is big and the system must never sound strained.
Setup and Connection Guide
Klipsch THX-8000L In-Wall LCR Speaker needs a wall cutout to suit its 20.63 x 11.63 inch frame and 3.88 inches of mounting depth, with the IK-802-W installation kit sold separately for new construction. Wire it from the receiver front channels, choose vertical or horizontal orientation to suit the screen wall, fit the edge-to-edge magnetic grille, and run room calibration so the sealed enclosure integrates cleanly with the subwoofer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this speaker sold singly or as a pair?
It is sold singly, as one in-wall LCR speaker; a full front stage needs three units.
What does THX Ultra2 certification mean?
It means the speaker is verified for accurate playback at cinema reference levels in large rooms of 3,000 cubic feet or more.
Does wall construction affect its sound?
Far less than open-back designs, because the sealed MDF back-can enclosure fixes the acoustic environment behind the driver.
