ProGrade Digital 256GB SDXC UHS-II V90 Memory Card (300MB/s)

ProGrade Digital 256GB SDXC UHS-II V90 Memory Card (300MB/s) – Professional V90 Card for 8K, 6K and High-Bitrate Video

The ProGrade Digital 256GB SDXC UHS-II V90 memory card is built for professional photographers and filmmakers whose cameras produce data streams that ordinary cards cannot sustain. ProGrade rates it at up to 300 MB/s read speed and up to 250 MB/s write speed, and the V90 video speed class certifies a minimum sustained write speed of 90 MB/s. That sustained figure is what matters for video: it is the speed the card guarantees continuously, so high-bitrate recording does not stall or drop frames.

ProGrade positions the V90 line for digital cinema cameras and upper-end DSLR and mirrorless cameras recording rich data streams, including 8K, 6K, 5K, 4K and UHD video and high-bitrate MPEG-4, as well as raw stills and rapid-fire bursts. The 256 GB capacity holds long shooting days of that material on a single card, and every card is subject to ProGrade’s rigorous full-card testing, with component-level testing down to individual memory chips and serialised tracking for quality control.

Why sustained speed matters more than peak speed

Peak write figures describe a short burst; a video recording is a continuous stream that can run for many minutes. A card that is fast for ten seconds and then slows will fail exactly when a take gets long. The V90 rating prevents that: the card is certified to sustain at least 90 MB/s, the threshold demanding codecs require. For stills shooters, the 250 MB/s maximum write speed keeps the buffer clearing during bursts, and the 300 MB/s read speed shortens ingest time.

Compatibility and field use

The card is designed for cameras that are UHS-II and V90 compatible, and its second row of pins enables UHS-II speeds. Used in a device that does not support UHS-II, it falls back to that device’s speed class and bus rating, including UHS-I and U3 modes, so it still works, at the host’s pace. ProGrade builds it for extreme environments, with an operating range from -25 C to 85 C and shockproof and X-ray proof construction, and the write protect switch guards against accidental erasure on set.

Keeping the card healthy

ProGrade’s Refresh Pro software can monitor the health of the card and refresh it back to factory-fresh condition, helping sustain performance over repeated recording and formatting cycles.

If your camera records high-bitrate 4K, 6K or 8K video, or you shoot raw bursts that punish slower media, this 256 GB V90 card provides the certified, sustained performance those workflows require.
