TCL 43″ C655 QLED 4K Google TV

TCL 43-inch C655 QLED 4K Google TV

The TCL C655 in its 43-inch size is a QLED 4K television running Google TV, aimed at bedrooms, smaller living rooms and dens where a full 4K picture is wanted without moving to a large screen. Its Quantum Dot panel produces a wide colour range from a compact footprint, the AiPQ Pro processor handles picture optimisation in real time, and the Google TV interface brings streaming apps, recommendations and voice search together in one place. This description covers the 43-inch model specifically, whose sound system and brightness differ from the larger C655 sizes.

• Dolby Vision, HDR10 Plus and HLG high dynamic range support
• AiPQ Pro processor with T-Screen Pro contrast technology
• 30W speaker system with Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual X audio

• Three HDMI ports including eARC, plus USB, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0

QLED picture and HDR handling

The QLED Pro panel uses Quantum Dot nanocrystals to reach 95% of the DCI-P3 colour space, so saturated colours in films, sport and games hold their intensity instead of washing out. Peak brightness for the 43-inch model is 430 nits, and T-Screen Pro is TCL panel technology for stronger native contrast and reduced ambient reflection effects. Dolby Vision adjusts brightness and colour scene by scene from compatible content, while HDR10 Plus and HLG cover broadcast and streaming HDR formats, so the set is not limited to a single HDR standard.

AiPQ Pro processing

The AiPQ Pro processor analyses incoming pictures and applies AI-based adjustments to colour, contrast and clarity. Lower resolution broadcast and streaming content is upscaled towards 4K, faces and textures are refined, and motion handling is smoothed for fast-moving sport and action scenes. Multiple eye care technologies, including low blue light and flicker-free operation, are included for longer viewing sessions in the evening. The slim, uni-body design keeps the focus on the picture,.

Sound for the 43-inch model

Audio on this size is a 30W system, delivered by two 15W speakers, with Dolby Atmos processing and DTS Virtual X for a wider, more spacious soundstage from the television’s own speakers. Dialogue stays clear at lower volumes, which suits late-night viewing in a bedroom. For a larger sound, the HDMI eARC connection passes high-quality audio, including Atmos, out to a compatible soundbar or AV receiver.

Google TV, gaming and connections

Google TV organises films and shows into one home screen, with individual profiles and recommendations, and hands-free voice control lets you search, change inputs or control compatible smart home devices by speaking to the television. The set carries 2GB of memory and 32GB of storage for apps. Three HDMI ports connect a console, set-top box and soundbar at the same time, alongside one USB port, Ethernet, dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 for headphones and accessories. Screen mirroring from phones is supported, making the 43-inch C655 a flexible centre for a compact entertainment setup.

For a smaller room that still needs proper 4K detail, wide QLED colour and a complete smart platform, the 43-inch C655 covers the essentials in a single, tidy package.
