The DMC7 capsule and aluminium voice coil

Most dynamic vocal microphones use a copper voice coil. The V7’s DMC7 element uses aluminium instead, which sE developed specifically for this microphone to deliver a crisper, more open sound with strong sensitivity. Construction, shockmount and windscreen

The chassis is solid metal with no plastic structural parts, and the spring steel mesh grille resists dents and corrosion. A bevelled edge around the grille stops the microphone rolling when it is set down on an amplifier or stage floor. Inside, the patented integrated shockmount isolates the capsule from mechanical vibration, so footsteps, stand bumps and hand movement stay out of the signal. The internal windscreen controls plosive pops and breath noise; the microphone is supplied with the red internal windscreen fitted and a spare black windscreen in the box, along with a mic clip, thread adapter and carrying pouch.
