The JMGO N1S 4K is a portable smart projector built around JMGO’s MALC 2.0 triple-laser light source and a motorised gimbal stand that tilts through 127 degrees, so the projector aims itself at a wall or ceiling and corrects the picture automatically. It renders 4K UHD through its 0.47-inch DMD, covers 110% of the BT.2020 colour gamut, and runs Google TV with the major streaming services built in. At 2.0 kg it is a genuinely movable big-screen system.

Triple laser picture

Three discrete lasers generate the primaries directly, which is how the N1S 4K reaches 110% of BT.2020 — beyond the DCI-P3 gamut used in cinema mastering. Native contrast is rated at 1,600:1 (FOFO) with dynamic contrast to 1,000,000:1, and HDR10 content is supported. Laser speckle, the traditional weakness of triple-laser designs, is addressed by the MALC 2.0 optical engine’s speckle-reduction design, and the light source avoids the colour wheel entirely, so there are no rainbow artefacts.

Gimbal design and auto setup

The integrated gimbal is the product’s signature: the projector body tilts smoothly through 127 degrees on its stand, pointing from a front wall to the ceiling without a tripod. Sensors drive automatic keystone correction, focus, screen alignment and obstacle avoidance, so setup after a move takes seconds. The fixed 1.2:1 lens throws up to a 200-inch image; 100 inches needs about 2.7 metres.

Google TV and audio

Google TV organises streaming apps with a single account and remote, and Chromecast casting is built in. The speaker system pairs two 5 W drivers with a subwoofer chamber, certified for Dolby Audio and DTS-HD decoding, and HDMI 2.1 eARC passes full-quality audio to an external system. Input lag is 17 ms at 1080p/60 — fine for casual gaming.

Portability

At approximately 185 x 165 x 191 mm and 2.0 kg, the N1S 4K is sized for a shelf or a bag rather than a mount, and the gimbal base protects the lens in transit. Power is from the supplied adapter; there is no internal battery, so the projector works wherever there is a socket.
