XGIMI Aura 2 – 2300 Lumens 4K UHD Ultra Short Throw IMAX Enhanced Laser Projector (Black)

XGIMI Aura 2 4K UHD Ultra Short Throw Laser Projector (Black) – IMAX Enhanced Cinema From the Sideboard

The Aura 2 is XGIMI’s flagship laser TV: an ultra-short-throw 4K projector that sits centimetres from the wall and fills a 100-inch-class screen, powered by the Dual Light 2.0 laser-LED hybrid engine at 2,300 ISO lumens. It carries the certifications living-room projectors usually envy – Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, 99 percent DCI-P3 colour – and a Harman Kardon 2.0-channel sound system, all wrapped in Google TV. In black, it is the discreet unit that replaces a television, a soundbar and a streaming box in one move.

Dual Light 2.0, in plain terms

XGIMI’s hybrid engine combines laser precision with LED breadth, aiming for the brightness and contrast of laser with the colour comfort of LED – including reduced speckle, the shimmer artefact pure-laser UST owners know. Paired with 99 percent DCI-P3 coverage, the Aura 2 reproduces the colour volume modern HDR masters carry, and Dolby Vision tone mapping adapts that picture title by title rather than with one fixed curve.

IMAX Enhanced, at home

IMAX Enhanced certification means the Aura 2 meets IMAX’s standards for colour, contrast and clarity on certified content, expanding the picture to IMAX’s aspect ratio where titles provide it. Combined with a 100-inch-class image, it is the closest a living room comes to the format’s intent without a dedicated theatre build.

Sound that skips the soundbar step

The Harman Kardon 2.0 system is voiced as a genuine television replacement, with Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD decoding support for the height-and-surround cues streaming services deliver. Many owners will still add a full audio system eventually; the point is that nobody has to, on day one, to enjoy the screen.

For households replacing a television with something four times its size, the Aura 2 is XGIMI’s most complete single-box answer.
