Ahuja SRX 500 PA Speaker

Ahuja SRX 500 PA Speaker

The Ahuja SRX 500 is a professional two-way PA speaker system built for spaces where coverage and speech clarity matter more than compact size: auditoriums, houses of worship, school halls, DJ rigs and outdoor events. Rated at 400 W RMS, it combines two 15-inch dual-cone full-range drivers with a high-frequency compression driver on a dynamic horn, so vocals stay intelligible at the back of a large room while music keeps its weight and presence.

Key features

• 400 W RMS input power for auditorium and DJ duty
• Two 15-inch dual-cone full-range speakers with 50.8 mm voice coils
• High-frequency compression driver with dynamic horn for long throw
• High sensitivity of 101 dB at 1 W / 1 m; maximum SPL of 127 dB
• Bass-reflex trapezoidal cabinet with free-flow flared port
• Acoustically treated, carpet-covered enclosure
• Heavy-duty handles and a strong steel grille for transport and protection

Built to cover large rooms

Sensitivity is the SRX 500’s headline number. At 101 dB from a single watt, it reaches working volume with far less amplifier power than an average PA cabinet, and the 127 dB maximum SPL gives it the headroom for announcements and music to stay clean across a hall. The horn-loaded compression driver throws high frequencies over distance, which is what keeps consonants and speech detail from dissolving in a reverberant space.

Dual 15-inch low end

Two 15-inch dual-cone drivers share the low and midrange work. Dual-cone construction extends the top of each driver’s range so the crossover to the horn sits where the horn performs best, and the pair presents a large cone area that moves air efficiently. The bass-reflex trapezoidal enclosure, with its flared port, supports the low end without the cabinet boom that plagues thin-walled boxes.

Made for the road and the hall

Ahuja builds the SRX 500 for Indian service conditions: a rugged carpet-covered cabinet that shrugs off scuffs, a full-face steel grille over the drivers, and heavy-duty handles placed for two-person carries. It works equally well as a permanent install in an auditorium or as the main cabinet on a mobile DJ and event rig.

Driving it properly

As a passive cabinet, the SRX 500 rewards an amplifier with real current behind it: look for a power amplifier rated comfortably in the few-hundred-watt class into the cabinet’s load, and let the speaker’s 101 dB sensitivity do the rest. In permanent installs it flies the flag for the classic Indian auditorium setup — a pair of SRX 500s flanking the stage, a mixer-amplifier or power amp in the rack, and speech that reaches the last bench without strain. On the road, the trapezoidal profile stacks and transports predictably, and carpet covering hides the scuffs that glossy cabinets advertise.

Choose the SRX 500 when the job is covering a genuinely large audience with speech and music from a passive cabinet — high sensitivity, serious power handling and a horn that keeps every word clear at the back row.
