Edifier R2000DB — 120W Premium Bluetooth Bookshelf Speaker with Real Wood Veneer
The Edifier R2000DB stands as one of the finest bookshelf speaker systems in the sub-40,000 rupee segment in India, combining stunning aesthetics with uncompromising acoustic performance. Delivering 120W RMS of bi-amplified power through aluminium cone woofers and silk dome tweeters, the R2000DB is built for discerning listeners who want audiophile-grade sound alongside the convenience of Bluetooth 5.1 aptX wireless streaming. Available in two finishes — warm oak wood veneer and matte black — it is equally at home in a premium home study, a music production room, or a living room stereo setup. The R2000DB is the speaker system you buy when you are done compromising. Key Features – 120W RMS Bi-Amplified Power: 24W+24W tweeter channels and 36W+36W woofer channels for precise, distortion-free sound at high volumes. – Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX: High-quality wireless streaming with minimal compression and rock-solid connectivity. – 5" Aluminium Cone Woofer: Lightweight yet rigid aluminium driver delivers punchy, accurate bass response with excellent transient attack. – 1" Silk Dome Tweeter: Smooth high-frequency reproduction with natural air and sparkle across vocals and instruments. – Multiple Inputs: Optical (Toslink), RCA stereo, and Bluetooth — covering digital, analogue, and wireless sources. – Real Wood Veneer Cabinet: Genuine wood veneer finish reduces resonance and adds luxury aesthetics unmatched at this price. – Wireless Remote Control: Convenient full-function remote for volume, input selection, and power management. Sound Performance
The R2000DB delivers a listening experience that competes comfortably with passive speakers costing significantly more when paired with a separate amplifier. The 5-inch aluminium cone woofer is the centrepiece of the sound signature — aluminium's high stiffness-to-weight ratio means the driver accelerates and decelerates rapidly, producing tight, well-defined bass that does not overhang or blur into the midrange. The result is punchy percussion, authoritative bass lines, and clear male vocals. The 1-inch silk dome tweeter pairs perfectly, offering smooth extension to 20kHz without harshness or sibilance — critical for long listening sessions. The bi-amplified design means the 120W is allocated intelligently across the frequency spectrum, with more wattage driving the bass-hungry woofers and precise power managing the tweeters. With a frequency response of 45Hz to 20kHz, the R2000DB handles everything from deep electronic bass to the highest-pitched violin harmonics with ease. The aptX Bluetooth codec preserves far more audio detail than standard SBC, making wireless streaming sound genuinely impressive. Design & Build Quality
The R2000DB's real wood veneer cabinet is its most immediately striking feature. The warm oak finish brings natural warmth and texture that elevates any room's aesthetic, while the black version offers a more contemporary, serious look. The veneer is not merely cosmetic — real wood veneer over MDF reduces unwanted resonances compared to painted or vinyl-wrapped alternatives. The cabinet construction is solid and heavy, communicating the engineering quality within. Front-firing bass ports, a clean grille design, and precision-machined driver cutouts all speak to Edifier's attention to manufacturing detail. This is a speaker built to last and to look beautiful doing it. Connectivity & Compatibility
The R2000DB offers three carefully chosen inputs that cover nearly every source scenario. Optical Toslink input connects to smart TVs, soundbars, gaming consoles, and set-top boxes for a pure digital signal. RCA stereo input handles CD players, turntables (with phono preamp), AV receivers, and analogue audio equipment. Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX serves smartphones, laptops, and tablets wirelessly. The wireless remote gives you instant control without having to walk to the speaker. Operating on AC 100-240V universal power supply, these speakers work perfectly on Indian electrical systems right out of the box — no voltage adapters required. The variable product is available in Warm Oak (MRP Rs. 34,990) and Black (MRP Rs. 37,990). Technical Specifications Specification
