Driver design and crossover

The woofer is a 5.25-inch high-efficiency cone driven by a 20 mm KSV voice coil on a Y30 ferrite magnet, a specification Pure Acoustics repeats across the Supernova range. The gloss baffle gives the speaker a cleaner, more contemporary face than plain vinyl wraps at this level. Placement follows standard small-speaker practice: tweeters near ear height, the pair spaced symmetrically around the screen or listening position, and a little distance from rear walls to keep the bass tidy. For surround use, position the pair to the sides of or behind the seats as the layout dictates and re-run the receiver’s calibration after any move. The speakers connect with ordinary speaker cable to binding post terminals and require no power of their own, being fully passive.
