The ELAC IW-VC52-W In-Wall Centre Speaker is the Vertex Series II centre channel for a home theatre that lives inside the wall, and the ELAC IW-VC52-W In-Wall Centre Speaker carries the most important job in the system: dialogue. Two 5.25-inch aluminium woofers flank a 1-inch cloth-dome tweeter in a horizontal in-wall format that fits under or above a screen, so voices stay clear, centred and intelligible even in large rooms, while the speaker itself disappears behind a paintable grille.
Why Choose ELAC IW-VC52-W In-Wall Centre Speaker?
Centre channels fail more visibly than any other speaker, because muddy dialogue ruins a film faster than weak bass, and the ELAC IW-VC52-W In-Wall Centre Speaker is built around that fact: twin aluminium woofers share the midrange load for clean output at higher volumes, the cloth-dome tweeter keeps voices natural rather than sibilant, and the Vertex II crossover keeps the drivers working as one. Because it matches the Vertex II in-wall and in-ceiling models, the front soundstage stays seamless as sound pans from left to centre to right, which is the difference between a system that sounds like speakers and one that sounds like a cinema.
Key Features
Dual 5.25-inch aluminium woofers: Twin drivers share dialogue and midrange for clean, high-output centre sound.

Horizontal in-wall format: 448.3 mm wide design that fits neatly under or above a screen.
Matched Vertex II voicing: Tonally consistent with Vertex II in-wall and in-ceiling channels.
Paintable magnetic grille: Metal grille that can be painted to match the wall.
High power handling: 50 watts nominal and 120 watts peak from 30 to 120 watt amplifiers.
Best Suited For
The ELAC IW-VC52-W In-Wall Centre Speaker suits dedicated home theatres and media rooms using Vertex II in-wall or in-ceiling speakers for the other channels, and living rooms where a box centre speaker under the television is not wanted. It is a passive speaker requiring an AV receiver or amplifier, it is sold singly, and it should be centred on the screen at roughly seated ear height for the best dialogue anchoring.
Setup and Connection Guide
Cut the 417 mm by 157 mm opening with the included template at the centre of the screen wall, allowing 84 mm of depth, and run the centre-channel cable to it. Connect to the heavy-duty spring-clip terminals with correct polarity, fit the ELAC IW-VC52-W In-Wall Centre Speaker with its tabs folded in and tighten until firm, then press the magnetic grille into place. In the receiver, set the centre channel level with the calibration microphone, and run room calibration so dialogue locks to the picture rather than drifting to the left or right speakers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why two woofers in a centre speaker?
Two smaller woofers move as much air as one large one while keeping the cabinet slim enough for a wall, and sharing the load keeps dialogue clean at cinema volumes.
Is the ELAC IW-VC52-W In-Wall Centre Speaker sold singly or as a pair?
Singly. A home theatre needs only one centre channel.
Does it match the Vertex II in-wall speakers?
Yes. It is a Vertex Series II model, voiced to match the IW-V62-W and IC-VT62-W channels in the same theatre.
