Why Choose Focal SUB 1000F Active Subwoofer?

Home cinema bass is easy to make loud and hard to make clean. The Sub 1000F’s sealed design, Flax driver and 1000 W amplifier keep bass tight and timed, so explosions have impact without blurring dialogue and music keeps its rhythm.

Key Features

• 12-inch Flax woofer: a 30 cm Flax driver with the rigidity and damping of Focal’s flax-fibre sandwich cone.
• 1000 W BASH amplifier: high-efficiency BASH amplification with headroom for the deepest film effects.
• Sealed cabinet: a closed enclosure for tight, accurate bass without port noise.
• Variable crossover: adjustable from 40 to 160 Hz to blend with any main speakers.
• Phase and auto power: 0-degree/180-degree phase switch and On/Auto power modes.

Best Suited For

Home cinemas and stereo systems with 1000-series or other high-quality main speakers, where bass accuracy matters as much as depth. That is the buyer the Focal SUB 1000F Active Subwoofer is built for.

Setup and Connection Guide

Connect over stereo line inputs or LFE from an AV receiver, set the crossover just below the main speakers’ low-frequency limit, choose the phase setting with the fullest bass at the seat, and leave the power mode on Auto. Once connected, the Focal SUB 1000F Active Subwoofer is ready for its first session.
