The Focal CHORA 826 Tower Speaker is the flagship of the Chora line: a 3-way bass-reflex floorstander built around Focal’s Slatefiber cone technology, made in France, with a tilted stand for a better sound image and a front port that keeps bass clean even near a wall.

Why Choose Focal CHORA 826 Tower Speaker?
It is an accessible route to genuine high-fidelity sound. The 1-inch TNF aluminium/magnesium inverted-dome tweeter uses a Poron surround derived from Focal’s Utopia Beryllium tweeter, cutting distortion in the ear’s most sensitive range, while the two 6.5-inch Slatefiber woofers give the bass real weight without boom.
Key Features
Slatefiber drivers: a 6.5-inch Slatefiber midrange and two 6.5-inch Slatefiber woofers deliver balanced mids and articulated bass.
TNF inverted-dome tweeter: the 1-inch aluminium/magnesium tweeter with Poron surround gives silky, low-distortion treble from anywhere in the room.
Front aerodynamic port: the front-facing reflex port removes distortion and adds bass impact, and works well closer to a wall than a rear port.
Tilted stand: the angled stand improves the sound image by aiming the drivers at the listening position.
Large-room design: sized for rooms up to around 40 square metres, as a stereo pair or as the front pair of a home cinema.
Best Suited For
Stereo listeners and home cinema builders with a medium to large room who want a full-range floorstander that works with a wide range of amplifiers. That is the buyer the Focal CHORA 826 Tower Speaker is built for.
Setup and Connection Guide
Place the pair toed in slightly toward the listening position, on the supplied tilted stands, and drive them with an amplifier rated 40 to 250 watts per channel into 8 ohms. Leave some space around the front port and run the pair in for a few days before judging the bass. Once connected, the Focal CHORA 826 Tower Speaker is ready for its first session.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Focal CHORA 826 Tower Speaker the same as the Chora 826-D?
No. The 826-D adds an upward-firing Dolby Atmos driver on top. This listing is the plain 826, a 3-way floorstander without the Atmos module.
What amplifier power does it need?
Focal recommends 40 to 250 watts per channel. Its 91 dB sensitivity and 8 ohm nominal impedance make it an easy load for most quality amplifiers.
What are its dimensions and weight?
Each speaker measures 303 x 388 x 1053 mm and weighs about 21.15 kg.
