The C3 cone, explained

Q Acoustics’ C3 driver uses a cone whose curved profile varies continuously from centre to edge, combining the pistonic behaviour of a straight cone with the controlled break-up of a flared one. The practical result is a midrange that stays clean at volume and bass that starts and stops quickly, which is why the same driver technology anchors the company’s 5000-series passive speakers.
