Focal 300IW6 In-Wall Speaker

Focal 300IW6 In-Wall Speaker

The Focal 300IW6 In-Wall Speaker is a two-way in-wall loudspeaker from Focal’s 300 series, built around a 6.5 inch Flax cone woofer and a 1 inch aluminium-magnesium inverted dome tweeter with Poron suspension. It is designed for home listening in any room, from stereo pairs in a living room to surround channels in a home cinema, and its rectangular format fits a wall stud bay cleanly. The Focal 300IW6 In-Wall Speaker delivers the 300 series Flax sound, natural midrange, articulate bass and precise treble, from a speaker that is almost invisible once its grille is fitted.

Why Choose This Product?

The Focal 300IW6 In-Wall Speaker is a strong in-wall choice because it does not compromise on driver quality: the Flax cone is light and rigid, the tweeter adjusts in orientation and level, and separate switches trim treble and midrange to the room. The EQI tool-free mounting system, anti-vibration feet and magnetic paintable grille keep installation tidy, and the rear protection suits walls from 12 to 32 mm thick. With 90 dB sensitivity and 25 to 130 watts of recommended power, it is easy to drive and easy to match with other Focal 300 series speakers.

Best Suited For

The Focal 300IW6 In-Wall Speaker suits living rooms, bedrooms and home cinemas where speakers must stay out of sight, and it works as a stereo pair, a centre channel companion, or surrounds. It is ideal for new builds and renovations where cables can be run in the wall, and for rooms where floor space is precious.

Setup and Connection Guide

Cut a 292 by 191 mm opening using the template, wire the speaker from an amplifier rated 25 to 130 watts into 8 ohms, and mount it at 93 mm depth from the wall using the tool-free EQI system. Adjust the tweeter orientation and the treble and midrange switches for the room, then fit the magnetic paintable grille. Use matching Focal 300 series speakers for the rest of the system.
