Gallo Acoustics White

Gallo Acoustics White

This listing is the Gallo Acoustics Micro in its Matt White finish — the original high-end compact loudspeaker, built around a 4-inch all-metal sphere housing a single 3-inch full-range driver. The Micro has been the audiophile’s small-speaker reference for decades because it does something boxy speakers cannot: a sphere is the strongest, stiffest enclosure shape, and its smooth surface produces almost no diffraction, so sound leaves the driver without the cabinet edge effects that smear imaging.

There is no crossover at all — one driver covers 100 Hz to 18 kHz on the wall mount — and Gallo’s patented S2 fill technology extends the low-frequency performance well beyond what the size suggests. Sold singly, Micros serve as stereo pairs, home cinema satellites, ceiling speakers or multiroom speakers, usually partnered with a subwoofer such as Gallo’s own RoomSub or TR-3D models for the deepest bass.

Key Features

• 4-inch steel sphere: no internal resonance, virtually no external diffraction
• Single 3-inch full-range driver — no crossover to blur the sound
• Frequency response 100 Hz to 18 kHz (wall/ceiling/stand mounting)
• 89 dB sensitivity and 100 W power handling from an 8 ohm load
• Patented S2 fill technology for bass beyond its size
• Gold-plated terminals accept banana plugs and cables up to 4 mm
• Just 795 g, with tabletop, stand, wall and ceiling mounting options

Why a Sphere Sounds Different

Conventional cabinets have parallel internal walls that support standing waves and sharp external edges that diffract sound — both colour what you hear. A sphere has no parallel surfaces and no edges, so the driver works into a cleaner acoustic load and radiates with unusually precise imaging for such a small speaker. That is why Micros are popular in installations where speakers must be heard clearly but barely seen: the Matt White sphere all but disappears against a light ceiling or wall while still sounding like a serious loudspeaker.

Everyday Use

Use Micro pairs for discreet stereo in living spaces, as surrounds or height channels in a home theatre, on desks, or in cafes and galleries needing quality background music. Set your amplifier or receiver crossover around 100-120 Hz with a subwoofer for full-range playback. The full technical specification is in the Additional Information tab.
