is a THX Select 2 certified in-wall LCR speaker for serious home theatres, combining dual 5.25-inch high-output fibreglass woofers with a 1-inch titanium diaphragm compression driver on a 90 x 90 degree square Tractrix horn. It is timbre-matched to the rest of the Klipsch THX Cinema series, so dialogue and effects keep a consistent voice as sound pans across the front stage.
Klipsch THX-502L In-Wall LCR Speaker mounts flush in the wall, horizontally or vertically, with a white paintable grille that disappears into the room once installed, leaving only cinema sound behind. It is equally at home as a left, centre or right channel, since the same model serves all three front positions.
Why Choose Klipsch THX-502L In-Wall LCR Speaker?
Klipsch THX-502L In-Wall LCR Speaker is the answer when floorstanding front speakers are not an option but cinema dynamics are non-negotiable. THX Select 2 certification means it holds reference-level output with low distortion in rooms of 2,000 cubic feet and larger, and the infinite-baffle design uses the wall cavity itself as the enclosure, so there is no box eating floor space.
Key Features
The THX-502L brings commercial-cinema engineering into a flush architectural speaker.
THX Select 2 certified: Certified for reference-level cinema dynamics in rooms of 2,000 cubic feet and larger.
Titanium compression driver on Tractrix horn: A 1-inch titanium driver on a 90 x 90 horn gives clean, far-reaching highs.
Flush in-wall design: An infinite-baffle, front-flush mount keeps the speaker invisible behind a paintable grille.
Timbre-matched THX family: Spectrally matched to all Klipsch THX-certified products for a coherent system.
Best Suited For
Klipsch THX-502L In-Wall LCR Speaker suits dedicated home theatres and premium media rooms where the front left, centre and right channels must sit flush in the wall, especially behind acoustically transparent screens or in rooms where visible speakers would spoil the design.
Setup and Connection Guide
Klipsch THX-502L In-Wall LCR Speaker needs a rectangular wall cutout of 16.5 x 6.5 inches and 3.75 inches of mounting depth, with an installation kit (IK-502-W, sold separately) for new construction. Wire it from the AV receiver front channels, mount it horizontally for centre duty or vertically for left and right, fit the paintable grille, then run room calibration. Leave the wall cavity clear behind the speaker, since the infinite-baffle design uses that volume.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this speaker sold singly or as a pair?
It is sold singly, as one in-wall LCR speaker; a full front stage needs three units.
Can it be mounted horizontally for centre-channel use?
Yes. It mounts horizontally or vertically, so the same model serves left, centre and right positions.
Does it need a back box?
No. It is an infinite-baffle design that uses the wall cavity as its enclosure, with an optional installation kit for new builds.
