Monitor Audio MRW-10 100W Active Subwoofer

Not every room can take a 12-inch subwoofer, and not every system needs one. The MRW-10 is Monitor Audio’s compact answer: a 100W active sub in a cabinet sized for apartments, bedrooms and studies where a big box simply will not fit.

What it gives up in ultimate extension it returns in speed. The smaller driver stays nimble, which suits music and keeps film bass defined rather than boomy — important in small rooms where low frequencies can easily overwhelm.

Line and speaker-level inputs cover AV receivers and stereo amps, and the compact form tucks beside furniture or under desks. If your room is modest but your standards are not, the MRW-10 is the right-sized subwoofer.

The compact size opens up placements big subs cannot use — under a desk, beside a media console, even behind a sofa. In small rooms, near-field placement close to the listening position can give cleaner bass than a corner. Experiment freely.
