Audient ID48 24-In/32-Out USB Audio Interface

Audient iD48 24-In/32-Out USB Audio Interface
Audient iD48 is an eight-preamp USB recording interface with extensive analogue routing and optical expansion. Its 24-input/32-output total configuration combines onboard analogue connections with supported digital channels. Why Choose Audient iD48? The iD48 provides eight balanced insert paths, twelve line outputs and two headphone outputs for studio recording and monitor routing. Two JFET instrument inputs support direct instrument sources. Optical expansion adds digital channels through suitable external equipment. Choose it around the actual studio wiring, cue mixes and outboard requirements rather than reading the total channel figure as a count of built-in microphone connectors. Key Features – Eight console preamps: multichannel studio capture. – Eight balanced inserts: supports analogue outboard integration. – Twelve line outputs: broad studio-routing options. – Optical expansion: sixteen digital inputs and outputs at supported rates. Best Suited For
Home studios, voice production and music recording with a supported computer. Plan the number of simultaneous sources before choosing an interface: a microphone preamp, an instrument socket and a digital expansion port have different jobs. Match the monitoring arrangement to the session so the performer can hear a useful balance of the live source and playback. Setup and Connection Guide
Install the appropriate manufacturer driver and control software for the operating system, then select the interface in the recording application. Connect each source to its intended input type and enable phantom power only for equipment that requires it. Perform the loudest expected passage while setting gain, leaving room below overload. Start headphone and monitor levels low. Choose direct or software monitoring deliberately to avoid hearing doubled audio, and make a short test recording before a full session. Frequently Asked Questions
Does iD48 provide thirty-two microphone outputs or preamps? The total output figure describes audio-routing capacity across analogue, headphone and digital paths. The unit has eight onboard mic preamps; use its detailed I/O diagram to design the actual session and monitor arrangement. Can the line outputs power passive speakers? Line outputs provide an audio signal rather than loudspeaker-driving power. Use powered monitors or a suitable separate power amplifier for passive speakers. Headphone sockets and monitor outputs also serve different loads. Does the advertised channel count equal the number of microphone sockets? Check the physical analogue inputs separately. Total channel counts can include digital expansion, line outputs and headphone routes. External preamps and suitable digital connections may be needed to reach the maximum advertised configuration.
