Movement where it matters

Three kinds of adjustment work together on the LPA63-446. Extension brings the screen out from the wall, from a retracted profile of 62 mm to a full 468 mm, which makes corner installations practical and gives easy access to the ports and cables on the back of the TV. Tilt, from 5 degrees upward to 15 degrees downward, counters glare from windows and ceiling lights and sets a comfortable viewing angle when the TV sits higher than eye level, such as above a console or in a bedroom. Swivel of 60 degrees in each direction turns the screen toward a sofa, a dining table or an open-plan seating area without anyone having to move furniture.

Compatibility and fit

The mounting plate covers VESA patterns from 75 x 75 up to a maximum of 400 x 400, which spans the mounting patterns used by the great majority of 32 to 70 inch televisions. Screen size alone does not guarantee a fit, so check two figures on your TV before installation: its VESA hole pattern, found in the TV manual or measured centre to centre on the back panel, and its weight, which must sit within the 40 kg capacity with a sensible margin. The mount suits flat-panel TVs in its size range, and the steel arm holds the screen steady through repeated daily adjustment.

Installation notes

A wall mount is only as strong as the wall fixing behind it, so the plate must go into a solid wall or into studs with the correct fixings for the wall material, and the screen should be levelled and checked before the fixings are fully tightened. Two people should lift a large TV onto the arm. Once fitted, route the HDMI and power cables with enough slack for the full range of movement, so extending or swivelling the screen never strains a connector. Periodically checking that the tilt and swivel joints still hold their set position keeps the installation feeling as solid as the day it went up.
