BenQ LK952 4K UHD Laser Installation Projector

BenQ LK952 – 4K UHD Laser Installation Projector with 5,000 ANSI Lumens

The BenQ LK952 is a 4K UHD laser installation projector for large, well-lit rooms: boardrooms, lecture halls, houses of worship and exhibition spaces where the image must stay legible with the lights on. Its BlueCore laser engine produces 5,000 ANSI lumens, a 1.6x zoom lens with a 1.36 to 2.18 throw ratio covers a wide range of room depths, and manual lens shift in both axes simplifies alignment. HDBaseT, an HDMI output for multi-screen setups and full network control complete an installer-focused package.

Key features

• 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) DLP resolution with 8.3 million pixels per frame
• 5,000 ANSI lumens from a BlueCore laser light source
• 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio with laser light-source dimming
• Laser life of 20,000 hours with instant on and off
• 1.6x zoom, 1.36 to 2.18 throw ratio for flexible room coverage
• Manual lens shift: vertical plus or minus 60%, horizontal plus or minus 23%
• HDR10 support with Auto HDR Color Rendition
• HDMI output for stacked and multi-screen projection, plus HDBaseT input

Bright laser image for lit rooms

Five thousand ANSI lumens keeps presentations, spreadsheets and video readable in rooms where lights stay on for note-taking and discussion – the normal condition in a working meeting space. The laser source reaches full brightness almost instantly and can blank to true black without a warm-up or cool-down cycle, and its 20,000-hour life removes lamp replacement from the maintenance schedule. The sealed DLP chip resists heat and dust, preserving colour and text legibility over years of service.

Zoom and lens shift for installation freedom

The 1.6x zoom is the widest in BenQ’s LK installation family, and combined with the 1.36 to 2.18 throw ratio it lets one model serve rooms of very different depths from a ceiling position chosen for the room rather than dictated by the lens. Manual lens shift moves the image plus or minus 60% vertically and plus or minus 23% horizontally without tilting the projector or resorting to image-degrading digital correction, and vertical keystone adjustment of plus or minus 30 degrees handles remaining misalignment. Image sizes from 30 to 300 inches are supported, and 360-degree projection allows floor, ceiling and angled exhibition installs.

4K detail, HDR and image processing

BenQ’s 4K Image Amplifying Technology upscales incoming sources to 4K, and Pixel Enhancer 4K sharpens edges and surface textures so fine text stays readable at the back of a large room. HDR10 content benefits from Auto HDR Color Rendition, which optimises brightness and contrast range in a single processing pass. DICOM SIM mode is included for medical training environments, alongside Bright, Presentation, sRGB and Vivid modes for general content.

Multi-screen connectivity and control

Three HDMI inputs handle multiple presenters and sources, and the HDMI output passes the signal onward with minimal degradation – enabling two-projector stacking to double brightness or multi-screen layouts in exhibition spaces. HDBaseT combines video, audio and control over one long network cable run, VGA input and output serve legacy sources and monitor loops, and LAN, RS232 and HDBaseT control integrate the projector into managed room systems. A 10 W speaker covers speech in medium rooms, with audio inputs and outputs for house systems.

For permanent installations in bright, larger rooms that need 4K detail, flexible optics and low-maintenance laser running, the LK952 is built precisely for that brief.
