Description
Ahuja ASC-20T: 15 W Indoor and Outdoor PA Column Speaker
A compact grey aluminium column speaker with 15 W RMS at 100 V and a forward-radiating array.
Built for 100 V Line Public Address Systems
Large buildings need even, intelligible sound in every room without running thick speaker cable back to the amplifier. 100 V line speakers solve this by using a built-in line matching transformer with selectable power taps.
What It Is
The Ahuja ASC-20T is a 15 W, 100 V PA column speaker for indoor and outdoor use in halls, auditoria and airport lounges. It has two 6 x 4 inch drivers, 15 W RMS (23 W maximum) with 15, 10, 5 and 2.5 W taps, in an aluminium extruded cabinet with die-cast covers and a black mesh grille.
Key Features
- Two-driver column: Radiates a forward beam for wider coverage.
- 15 W RMS at 100 V: 23 W maximum; taps of 15/10/5/2.5 W.
- Weather resistant: Suitable for use under roof eaves, with a foam dust layer.
- Aluminium build: Extruded cabinet, die-cast covers and mesh grille.
- Grey finish: Suits indoor and outdoor locations.
- Mounting clamps: Supplied with the speaker.
Why the Ahuja ASC-20T Stands Out
At 465 mm tall and 2.7 kg, the ASC-20T is a light, compact column for smaller halls, corridors and shaded outdoor areas where a bigger column would be too much.
Planning a 100 V Line System
A 100 V line system lets you connect many speakers to one amplifier over long, thin cables. Add up the tap settings of all speakers on a line and keep the total below the amplifier’s rated power, leaving some headroom. Choose a higher tap where you need louder coverage and a lower tap where the background level is enough. Always switch the amplifier off before wiring, check polarity, and use a qualified installer for ceiling and wall work. Matching tap settings to the room is the key to even, clear sound.
