The Marshall Heston 60 is the compact soundbar in Marshall’s first TV soundbar range, a smaller companion to the Heston 120 designed for apartments, bedrooms and living rooms where a full-width bar is too much. At 730mm wide it suits smaller TVs and media benches, yet it still carries a 5.1 configuration with seven active drivers: five 1.25-inch full-range drivers and two 3-inch woofers, powered by seven Class D amplifiers, two rated at 25W and five at 5W, for a total output of 56W peak. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X decoding lets it render immersive soundtracks from a single bar on the bench.

Frequency response runs from 45Hz to 20kHz, with a maximum sound pressure level of 89dB. Two built-in microphones handle room calibration, measuring the space and adjusting the sound to it through the Marshall app, which also provides equalisation, presets and a programmable preset button for one-touch access to a favourite source such as Spotify or internet radio. Four sound modes, Movie, Music, Night and Voice, reshape the balance for film dialogue, late-night listening at lower levels, or everyday music playback.

Streaming and connections

The TV connects through HDMI 2.1 eARC, the single-cable route that also lets the TV remote control the bar’s volume. For music, Wi-Fi 6 brings AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect and TIDAL Connect, while Bluetooth 5.3 covers quick pairing from a phone. Wired options include USB-C, a 3.5mm aux input for older sources and an RCA mono output that feeds an external wired subwoofer when more low-end weight is wanted; Marshall’s own Heston Sub 200 wireless subwoofer can also be added. Top-panel buttons cover volume, source selection, sound mode and the programmable preset, so everyday control does not depend on finding the remote or the app.
