Ahuja PS-400TM Wall Speaker

Ahuja PS-400TM PA Wall Speaker

The Ahuja PS-400TM is a compact two-way wall speaker for 100V public address systems, rated at 16 W RMS with selectable 16 W, 8 W and 4 W power taps, plus an 8 ohm low-impedance option for conventional amplifiers. A rotary switch sets the tap at installation, a 93 mm woofer and 47 mm tweeter cover 85 to 20,000 Hz at 86 dB sensitivity, and the movable bracket mounts the cabinet vertically or horizontally. It is built for schools, offices, hotels and public spaces that need clear speech and background music in every room from one amplifier.

Key features

• Two-way 100V PA wall speaker, 16 W RMS (24 W maximum)
• Selectable power taps: 16 W, 8 W and 4 W, set by rotary switch
• 8 ohm low-impedance option for standard amplifiers
• 93 mm woofer and 47 mm tweeter
• Frequency response of 85 to 20,000 Hz, 86 dB sensitivity
• Movable bracket for vertical or horizontal mounting

One amplifier, every room

A 100V line lets a single PA amplifier serve many rooms over long cable runs, and the tap on each speaker decides how loud that room runs. The PS-400TM’s three taps make one model serve a quiet office at 4 W and a noisy corridor at 16 W, and the rotary switch makes the setting a deliberate, visible choice at installation rather than a wiring puzzle. Where a conventional amplifier is used instead, the 8 ohm option connects the same speaker directly.

Two-way sound in a compact cabinet

Splitting the work between a 93 mm woofer and a 47 mm tweeter gives the PS-400TM a wider, cleaner response than a single full-range cone: 85 to 20,000 Hz covers announcements and background music properly, and 86 dB sensitivity (1 W at 1 m) means the rated taps deliver useful working levels in real rooms. At 16 W it has more output than Ahuja’s smaller wall models, suiting larger rooms and noisier spaces while staying compact on the wall.

Planning the installation

Add the tap settings of every speaker on the line and keep the total comfortably below the amplifier’s rated output. Use speaker cable of suitable thickness, keep polarity consistent across all speakers so they work together, and switch the amplifier off before changing any tap or connection. The movable bracket allows vertical or horizontal mounting, so the cabinet can follow the architecture of the room rather than fighting it.

Speech first, music properly

In PA work, speech intelligibility is the requirement everything else hangs on. The PS-400TM’s two-way layout keeps consonants clear at the modest levels announcements are made, while the extended low end to 85 Hz gives background music body without a separate subwoofer. That balance is why this class of speaker is the default fit for classrooms, waiting areas, restaurants and hotel corridors.

For buildings that need room-by-room speech and music from one PA amplifier, the Ahuja PS-400TM combines flexible 100V taps, an 8 ohm option and two-way clarity in a compact wall cabinet.
