iBX, explained

A subwoofer driver’s limits are excursion and distortion: push it too far at the lowest frequencies and the sound falls apart. iBX watches the actual signal and the driver’s behaviour in real time, extending usable bass only as far as the hardware can go cleanly, moment by moment. The audible result is depth that seems to exceed the box, without the protective limiting or distortion of a conventional design being pushed past its comfort.

Placement presets that respect real rooms

Subwoofers rarely get their ideal position; they go against walls and into corners, which reinforces bass unevenly. Connect the Kube 10 over line level from a receiver’s subwoofer output, or over speaker level from a stereo amplifier, and select the placement preset that matches its position before running any room correction in the receiver. Set the crossover where your main speakers naturally roll off – typically lower for towers, higher for small bookshelves – then adjust level by ear on familiar music until the bass foundation is felt rather than located.
