Behringer DR115DSP 15-Inch Active PA Speaker

Behringer DR115DSP 15-Inch Active PA Speaker
Behringer DR115DSP is a powered 15-inch PA loudspeaker with DSP and a two-channel mixer. The manufacturer guide gives a 1400W maximum-output designation for this model. Why Choose Behringer DR115DSP? The DR115DSP provides microphone/line inputs, an auxiliary source route and Bluetooth playback in the documented DR DSP arrangement. Its DSP menu supports system and listening adjustments without a separate speaker processor for every basic setup. The 15-inch woofer distinguishes this cabinet from the other sizes in the range, while the quoted power is a maximum figure under the manufacturer’s stated method. Use the labelled inputs and appropriate gain for each source, then test audience coverage and headroom in the venue. Mains power remains necessary even when the programme arrives over Bluetooth. Key Features – Powered PA design: internal speaker amplification. – 15-inch woofer: model-specific cabinet size. – DSP controls: documented local processing menu. – Two-channel mixer: supported inputs and Bluetooth playback. Best Suited For
Live speech, rehearsal, music playback and event sound where a powered PA cabinet suits the space. Choose the loudspeaker position and coverage before increasing volume. The cabinet includes its own amplification, while a mixer can provide the source channels, control and routing needed for a larger system. Setup and Connection Guide
Place the cabinet on secure support in its documented orientation and connect the specified mains supply. Start input and master controls low, connect the appropriate microphone or line source and choose the correct input sensitivity. Test the loudest expected signal while leaving headroom and checking clip indicators. Keep live microphones away from the main loudspeaker coverage and mute unused inputs. Where multiple cabinets or subwoofers are used, follow the supported link and crossover arrangements, then walk the listening area before the event. Frequently Asked Questions
Is the 1400W figure a continuous RMS output guarantee? No. The guide labels it maximum output and gives a manufacturer measurement note. Compare power figures on the same basis and check usable level, coverage and system headroom rather than equating the headline number with continuous output. Does an active PA speaker need an external power amplifier? Its internal amplifier drives its loudspeaker units. Feed the supported input signal from the source or mixer and supply mains power. Do not connect a separate amplifier’s speaker-power output to a line-level input. Will adding more gain always fix microphone feedback? No. Feedback depends on microphone and speaker placement, room reflections and the open audio paths. Improve positioning, mute unused microphones and set sensible levels before adding equalisation or raising gain. Technical Specifications Specification
