Ev Eviva 12p Portable Speaker

Electro-Voice EVIVA 12P Portable Speaker – 1,000 W of EV Sound in a 12 kg Cabinet

The EVIVA 12P is Electro-Voice’s answer to a familiar problem: gigs, events and venues that need real PA output without a van full of equipment. It is a powered two-way speaker built around a 12-inch ferrite woofer and a 1-inch neodymium compression driver, driven by a 1,000 W amplifier to a maximum SPL of 125 dB – and the whole composite cabinet weighs just 12 kg, so one person can carry it, pole-mount it and be playing within minutes. Two mic/line inputs, Bluetooth streaming and switchable MUSIC and LIVE voicings cover most small events without an external mixer.

Key features

• 1,000 W amplifier with up to 125 dB maximum SPL
• 12-inch woofer and 1-inch neodymium compression driver
• Wide 90° x 60° coverage for even audience sound
• Frequency range of 50 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB)
• Two XLR/TRS combo mic/line inputs plus an XLR mix output
• Bluetooth audio streaming with switchable mono/stereo mix output
• MUSIC and LIVE voicing modes, plus a WITH SUB switch for pairing with a subwoofer
• Lightweight 12 kg composite enclosure with top and side handles

Coverage you can hear the benefit of

Electro-Voice’s patented SST (Signal Synchronized Transducers) waveguide design time-aligns the woofer and compression driver, so the sound arriving at the back of the room is as coherent as the sound at the front. The 90° horizontal spread covers wide seating areas from a single box per side, while the controlled 60° vertical pattern keeps energy off the ceiling and floor where it only causes reflections. For solo performers, DJs and houses of worship, that evenness is the difference between the audience hearing the event and hearing the speaker.

A small mixer built in

Two combo inputs accept microphones or line sources directly – a vocal mic in one, a guitar or playback device in the other – with simple single-knob level control and dual-colour signal metering with peak indication to keep gain staging honest. Bluetooth streaming handles background music and backing tracks from a phone, and the XLR mix output passes the combined signal to a second speaker or a subwoofer such as the EVIVA 18SP. Switchable MUSIC and LIVE modes tune the voicing to the job, and the high-pass WITH SUB setting hands the low end to a subwoofer cleanly when one is added.

Built for one-person deployment

At 12 kg with handles on the top and side and a grab pocket underneath, the EVIVA 12P is designed around how portable PA is actually used: carried by one person, lifted onto a stand alone, and packed down quickly. The composite enclosure and powder-coated steel grille take working knocks, universal 100-240 V auto-switching power means it runs anywhere, and anti-skid feet keep it planted when it is used as a floor monitor. It also accepts an M20 pole mount and wall-bracket accessories for semi-permanent installs.

For performers, event organisers and venues that need professional output without professional crew, the EVIVA 12P packs a genuine EV system into a speaker you can carry in one hand.
