QSC K10.2 Active Loudspeaker

QSC K10.2 – The 10-Inch Powered Speaker Everything Else Is Judged Against

The QSC K10.2 is the 10-inch model in the K.2 series, the powered loudspeakers that defined the modern portable PA. A 10-inch woofer and a 1.4-inch titanium compression driver are driven by a 2,000-watt Class D power module, producing output that comfortably handles live music, DJs and speech for real audiences from a cabinet one person can carry and set up.

What separates the K.2 series is the processing inside every box. Factory presets cover the common jobs, user scenes can be saved and recalled, and parametric EQ, crossover and delay controls amount to a system processor built into the speaker. The same cabinet works as a main PA, a floor monitor or an installed speaker, which is why it appears in rental fleets, houses of worship and corporate AV kits everywhere.

Processing that replaces a rack

A traditional portable rig carries its tuning in separate hardware: a processor for crossover and delay, an EQ for the room. The K10.2 folds all of that into the cabinet. Presets voiced for live music, dance playback, monitoring and speech get a working system sounding right in seconds, while the deeper controls let an experienced engineer align delay fills, notch a problem frequency and store the result as a scene for the next visit to the same venue. Intrinsic Correction tuning keeps the speaker’s response smooth before any of that is applied.

One box, three jobs

Set the K10.2 on a stand and it is a main PA with wide, even coverage. Lay it on its side and the same cabinet becomes a floor monitor with a preset voiced for the job. Bolt it to its M10 fittings and it serves as an installed speaker in a venue or place of worship. That flexibility is the economic argument: one inventory item covers mains, monitors and fills, and the two combo inputs with a stereo aux mean small gigs can run without a separate mixer at all.

Who the K10.2 suits

Choose the K10.2 for bands, DJs, rental companies and venues that need a powered speaker which never becomes the weak link. It is the safe, professional default in a 10-inch format: loud, controlled, quick to deploy and consistent from the first gig to the five-hundredth.
