Why Choose Focal CUB EVO Active Subwoofer?

Small rooms rarely have space for a large subwoofer, and this one is built for exactly that problem. The Polyflex cone stays controlled at high excursion, the Class D amplifier runs cool in a closed cabinet, and the front port keeps bass articulate for both films and music.

Key Features

• 8.25-inch Polyflex woofer: the 21 cm Polyflex driver delivers controlled, musical bass from a compact sealed-looking cube.
• 200 W Class D amplifier: efficient amplification with plenty of headroom for film effects and music dynamics.
• Variable crossover: adjustable from 40 to 200 Hz to blend cleanly with satellites or bookshelf speakers.
• Phase and auto-power: 0-degree/180-degree phase switch and On/Autopower modes for easy integration and standby.
• Front port design: the front-facing port keeps placement flexible, even close to a wall.

Best Suited For

Owners of Sib Evo or other compact satellite systems, and small-room home cinema or stereo setups that need bass extension without a large cabinet. That is the buyer the Focal CUB EVO Active Subwoofer is built for.

Setup and Connection Guide

Connect over stereo RCA or the LFE input from an AV receiver, set the crossover to match the satellites (around 100 to 120 Hz for Sib Evo), choose the phase setting that gives the fullest bass at the seat, and leave the power switch on Autopower. Once connected, the Focal CUB EVO Active Subwoofer is ready for its first session.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Focal CUB EVO Active Subwoofer’s frequency response?

35 to 150 Hz at plus/minus 3 dB, extending to 30 Hz at minus 6 dB.

Does it work with an AV receiver’s subwoofer output?

Yes. Use the LFE input for receiver-managed bass, or the stereo RCA inputs for a stereo amplifier without bass management.

How big is it?

305 x 282 x 299 mm and 8 kg, so it fits beside most TV units.
